Sources for Images and Fonts
Fonts and graphics/images are an important part of design. Finding an image on someone else’s web sit and downloading to use in your flyer is probably illegal and may not give you the best quality image. There is a wealth of good websites that will give you a range of price options.

Images

• free images has a range of free images, but the resolution of often small and getting good studio shots here is hard. It’s basically a teaser for istockphoto
• istockphoto.com may well be the biggest collection of stock images, but is also pricey
• dreamstime.com is one of our favourites – images are well priced and has a huge selection
• I just came across iconfinder.com in a newsletter as a source for small illustrations/icons – not a huge selection but has some free and some paid.

Fonts

• I use Fontspace all the time when searching for fonts. Search is only by name, but you can type a phrase into the “customize” box and it will show you how each font will display that phrase.
