Request a QuoteWhen people think of Gift Vouchers they usually think of the chequebook style tear off ticket or the programmable swipe cards. The all look the same, they all work the same, they are dull dull dull. Well those people are wrong. Gift vouchers can be anything you darn well like. I’m going to tell you how to make something unique for clients and to entice them to buy and use them.
Gift Vouchers don’t have to be dull, or standard, or boring. We can talk about turning your voucher into something more memorable. The key thing about gift vouchers is that it’s an one shot contract for goods or services that is paid for advance and is redeemed at a later point. How it is formatted is up to you and the image you want to present. Here’s are a couple of examples of different kinds of vouchers I’ve done for clients.
One client want it to make it feel like people were getting real money in their hands when they brought the vouchers so we created a set of notes that all had the same look but used different colours to denote the ‘$10, $20, $50.’ We could have taken it even further and have the look and feel (without copying) of real money including watermarks.
This specialty food supplier wanted to make the vouchers they were selling on Trade Me feel like a real gift to the customers. Picking up on the ‘special day’ concept we came up with a greeting card that a handwritten feel inside but still had the spaces for them to be able to write in key details for each voucher. We could have taken it further simply by them supplying the customer details to us so we could use variable data printing to print the cards and envelops as one single process.
Where else could you go with vouchers. Well just about anything that can be printed can be gift voucher, as long as you have: a redeeming value, expiry date, and the terms and conditions; then you have a gift voucher.
