Connect with your Customers

In the modern marketplace, no matter what line of work you are in there will be competition for customers. It can take a lot of work to get new customers, but it can also take a lot of work to keep them. Customers need to be cared for, given the personal touch, shown how important they are to you. If you don’t do this, they will go to someone else because 9 times out of 10, people don’t just buy on price but on how they are treated. The question is: how can you show your customers that you consider them important but in a way that is easy to do and will not cost you a ton of money?

Seasonal events are a great time to connect to people. Traditionally the Christmas card is the greeting card people think of but it doesn’t just have to be at that time. While there are seasonal events/public holidays, you can do it at any time of the year. If you have a season where work traditionally picks up (or drops off), then sending your existing client a card a couple of weeks before it starts is a great way of reminding them that they are important to you. A good way to do that is to include a ‘present’ with it in the form of a voucher that gives a discount or a gift when they place an order.
